Hiring Full Time, Part Time or PRN Physician Assistant or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-C certified) with at least one year of post-grad clinical experience in to join the team in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Tucson Medical Center.

Pediatric Emergency Department:

  • Volume: 31,000
  • Pedi ED Beds: 14
  • Admission Rate: 5%
  • Patients per Hour: 1.5-2 
  • Physician Coverage: 27 hours daily
  • Physician Shifts: 9 hours
  • APP Coverage: 10 hours daily (20 hours in winter)
  • APP Shifts: 9a-7p; 6p-1a during winter surge

TMC for Children Hospital:

  • Pedi Hospital Beds: 33
  • NICU: 42-bed, Level III
  • PICU: 12 beds
  • Wide range of Pediatric specialists on staff
  • Child Life Specialists on staff

Required Qualifications

  • One or more years post-graduate professional clinical experience in hospital Emergency Department
  • Board-certified Physician Assistant or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-C)
  • AZ PA or NP license
  • DEA certificate
  • PALS & NRP
