Established in 1906, JPS has devoted more than 100 years to educating physicians while caring for the residents of Tarrant County as the area’s tax-supported hospital district.

  • The hospital currently has 582 beds
  • Fully accredited chest pain center with PCI
  • JCAHO certified stroke center of excellence
  • Countywide network of health care services operated as the JPS Health Network

Located in Downtown Fort Worth, approximately 25 miles from DFW International Airport.

Urgent Care:

  • 24-bed unit
  • 58,361 annual patient visits
  • Unit closes at 11 p.m. daily
  • Low acuity patients
  • Scribe service available
  • Flexible scheduling
  • EPIC EMR
  • Physician double coverage is provided during peak times with daily APP coverage
  • Physician Shifts: Mon – Sat (8 & 9/hr hifts)
  • APP Shifts: 10-12 hr shifts / flexible scheduling / No overnight shifts.
  • Urgent Care is open 7 days/week

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of Urgent Care or EM practice experience, post-graduation to be considered. Texas License, DEA, ACLS, PALS, BLS are required.
